Now with
Response Time Reporting! z/IPMon is now reporting on response time, either by
application or by host. This useful information immediately shows
any degradation in your users' interaction with the system to help
you spot a performance problem. You can even go back in time with
the Retrospect feature and watch the response time as it happened in
the past.
 Keeping
You in the Know with Function and Alert Views
z/IPMon becomes the central nervous
system for monitoring your VSE communications. You can see all
activity for your interfaces, hosts, connections, protocols and applications.
Select one of the interfaces and all of the data changes to show you
its activity. Select chart view for any of the categories and watch
your network traffic grow and shrink graphically. The dynamic tree
pane on the left gives you another way to navigate through your
system.
Setup dynamic alerts to be notified when something
critical in your TCP/IP network happens, and you are immediately
notified on the interface where you can drill down for more
information. Or optionally, receive an email to let you know what's
happened. You're always in the know.
Current Data, Shift Interval or even Look Back
Historically
The Dashboard displays the current sample interval as
well as a user defined "shift" interval for monitoring across
a time period. But looking back at past data is easy with z/IPMon's
Retrospect Feature. Simply change the date and time fields to a
previous point in time, and z/IPMon will recreate the data as it
occurred. This makes it invaluable to understand why a particular
problem occurred.
Formatted Packet Trace and Direct Command
Interface
Need to drill deeper for diagnostic
purposes? Then you’ll want to use Packet Trace View to look at
detailed packet data. With a click of a button you can start and
stop the trace and look at the data. We take all of the work out of
the cryptic trace by fully formatting the data and color coding
according to traffic type. Click on one button and print the trace
for offline review.
With the TCP/IP
Command Interface View, issue commands and get responses from
all TCP/IP partitions.
